I'll think of a better BATB2 post title name later

Just look at the people who are skating in this, why the fuck isn't this on the level of awesome as the first one? Fuckin' Slutzka. Can't wait for Josiah v. Cesar.

Down for the Count

Big Four: 1
Me: 0

Anyone know what to do for six weeks when you can't skate?

Another damn BATB post.

Second post in two days... I'm on a roll. If I wasn't lazy, I would make a post about the Waller game of skate today. Now I have something to post tomorrow.

Don't forget to vote.

It's that time of the year again, time to cast your vote for Thrasher's Skater Of The Year 2008. While this year's race isn't as promising or obvious as the races in years past, there are still a few candidates that deserve your vote.
-Silas Baxter Neal, for having anywhere from one to three ads in every single magazine printed in the last year, as well as some quality footage. Calm down, Silas.
-Torey Pudwill, for his Dudes Dudes Dudes part(which was pretty much on the same level as some of the guys in the Lakai video), and all of the ads he's put out during the year.
-Guy Mariano, for continuing to push himself to another level with all the ads he's put out, although he hasn't put out a video part in 2008.
-Jake Duncombe, for skating to a damn good Brian Jonestown Massacre song in his UBF 3 part, and for a continued drive after the death of his best friend. RIP Shane.
-Danny Brady, for getting a fair bit of coverage in 2008, despite living across the Atlantic ocean. Have you seen his Kingpin inteview yet? Insane!
-Dennis Busenitz or Bobby Worrest, for both putting out some great web clips and coverage in magazines. However, no full parts again.
-John Cardiel, for his great Epicly Later'd episodes, and for being one of the raddest human beings to ever walk this earth.
-Chris Cole, for putting out 6 minutes of enders in the new Fallen video.
Etc, etc.... just think about the past year and who got you stoked, and send an email to soty@thrashermagazine.com for your vote. It's all good, just as long as it's not one of these fucks. You know the guys I'm talking about.

Seriously, it's just skating.

Ambush Game Of Skate 11

The game of skate is always a good time, this one was no exception. No pictures (I think this is the first one that I went to without my camera), but if you missed it, you blew it. Some highlights (for me at least) were free shit, Jeff's dog, seeing friends that I hadn't seen for a while, judging, not getting out first in my round, some damn good skating, and just the entire day in general. Nick Paolucci won first in advance. Props to Stormy and everyone at ambush, the SEC guys, and pretty much everyone who made the day not shitty.

I look really awkward in pictures

A BRIEF RECAP OF THE BAKER DEMO:
-Lizard King killed the course, bs 5050 up the hubba and over the top BS lips, among other randomness.
-Reynolds almost broke the ceiling with kickflips, frontside flips, and varial heels over the pyramid. He killed the double set, too.
-Greco skated with hoop earings and didn't land a single trick
-TK was surprisingly one of the most consistent skaters on the course
-Antwuan smokes a lot of weed, if you didn't already know.
-I'm down for Lenoce now, he's a really chill guy and looks good on a board.
-Dollin walks like a constipated penguin, at least when he's drunk. Apparently, he broke the window in the van when he had a nightmare and kicked it out.
-Watching Slash cruise gets me hyped
-Spanky is a lot shorter than I expected.
-Beagle-Oneism might have the best hair in skateboarding.
-The girl who works behind the counter at progressive is way too cute to be working at a skatepark.

I look retarded in every single picture I appear in, so here are some shitty skate photos I took with my digital camera.

Lizard King put his foot back on the board right before I took this picture. BS 180 one-footer. He airwalked this too, I wish I got a picture of that.

Reynolds, varial heelflip. It was weird to see him struggle with this, he got the kickflip and the frontside flip first try. I got about 4 of these pictures.

Ellington kept trying this backside flip after the crowds were gone. I almost took a board to the face getting this picture.

This is the favorite photo I shot. Some flow kid, doing a tre flip to flat. I asked Dustin who that was, after about 2 minutes all we learned was that his name was Bo.

Max and Jordan are great friends.
